Typically a kitchen cabinet refinish is a 5-7 day process. We will have your kitchen masked off with plastic, separated from the rest of your house for about 2-3 days. We then remove the masking inside your home to give you access back to your kitchen. The rest of the process is done in our shop where we take your cabinet doors to refinish until they are ready to be delivered & re-installed.

We currently use a variety of different products certified by KCMA (Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association) based upon the desired finish and substrates of each job specifically. These products are not "on the shelf" products and are usually only able to be purchasd by professional contractors. Through our years of practice, we have tested many different products and continue to only use the highest quality and durability products on the market. We are committed to continually researching and testing emerging products to make sure you are always receiving the highest quality refinishing possible.

We take pride in not just painting cabinets, but instead producing a factory fine finish on all projects. We find that using a HVLP or Airless paint sprayer versus a brush or roller is the best way to achieve this type of smooth factory finish, unlike the textured finish produced by a brush or roller. We use specialized paint that is factory grade, not "off the shelf" and is meant to only be used by professional sprayer machines. Therefore, when your project is complete, your transformed cabinetry will have the finish and durability of brand new cabinetry.

Yes, we prefer you to have all cabinets cleared out before the morning we start your project. By having them cleaned out, we can immediately remove all cabinet doors to get the insides masked off in preparation for spraying the cabinet boxes and face frames. The doors are then taken to our shop spray booths where we can properly spray and dry them on paint racks.

We recommend waiting 7 days before doing any heavy cleaning on the finish, and recommend using warm water and dawn dish soap. Long term, if a deeper clean is needed, we recommend a mixture of white vinegar and warm water to help mitigate damage to the finish.

Store-bought chemical cleaners are never recommended.

One of the main reasons we like to mask off the kitchen from the rest of the house is to prevent any odor produced by the paint to spread throughout your house. While there will be an odor from the paint for a few days while the on-site spraying is happening, it will be contained enough to not affect normal living conditions in the rest of the house and by project completion, the odor will be neutralized.
